My conviction, unlike others, is that there will be no ecological transition without social justice. It was already in my program before the first round of municipal elections and it has been my priority since I became mayor, ”said the former minister, who is seeking a fourth and final mandate at the head of Lille.

She regrets that, conversely, the Lille Greens - the two lists refused, an unprecedented fact, to merge for the second round - have “ today a rather caricatured vision of society and are only interested in people who are doing well . " In his eyes, this is an " analytical error ": " the ecological transition will not be done without the contribution of the entire population, " adds Martine Aubry, assuring that she was " the only one to speak before the first round of employment and health as two priorities ”.

If she is re-elected mayor on June 28, she " will have to deal with both the emergency, because the health crisis continues, but also the coming economic and social crisis ". Faced with this crisis which will be " very heavy ", " the time is not for controversy " on government management. " When the country is going badly and we are at a certain level of responsibility, we have to be up to the task, where we are, " she said.
