    Broadcasting Corporation here

From time to time I get interviewed or written in English, and whenever the need arises to respond to the IDF waves or the voice of Israel - the English translation reveals a profound anomaly in reality, which we have become accustomed to living in. How can you get a normal sentence like "Israel's military radio says" or "station" "The absurdity is intensifying in the light of the fact that in Israel, public broadcasting has a complete monopoly on national frequencies. The private market has left a few regional radio stations, and this is also plunged into bureaucratic tangle and booming regulation. That's how it is: the Israeli sky is closed. The government and the army control them without Egypt.

Lately, the corporation has removed any restraint. If, at the beginning of the road, it still seemed that someone there was trying to do something different, to market political balance and representation to the diverse population, then last year the masks were removed and the show ended. The decision to discontinue broadcasting Kalman Libeskind and Aral Sgt's program is just one of many. Right-wingers have been clipped, relocated, or "liberated" from their post, while a long line of left-wingers continuously enters the gates of the government's radio broadcasting institution. Journalists and editorial staff here "closed" about interfering with content and other things designed to make them clear who the landlord is and in which direction the exit door is. When the new corporation was established, there were right-wing people who supported its establishment with the expectation that "this time will be different."

As if after 50 years of Israel's voice, it can still be argued that "real public broadcasting has never been tried." Few stood up to the drift, claiming it was an experiment that was doomed to failure. Publicly funded institutions have their own dynamics and tend to take over the "right" business from the "professional" milieu. And when it comes to communication - all these beautiful words say just left. It is no wonder that most of Handel's new appointments to the corporation council are clearly leftist.

The corporation shouldn't do us any good, it doesn't have to bring in a few domes and chips to sweep the criticism aside. The corporation needs to close or privatize, and most of all, release the sky to all of us. The frequency is public, ours and ours, and no radio sage council has the moral right to control our consciousness.
