" The situation of LGBTQ people (Q for queer) remains very worrying, certain national leaders even questioning the campaigns in favor of their rights ", write the Frenchwoman Amélie de Montchalin, the German Michael Roth and the Czech Ales Chmelar, all three responsible for European Affairs in their country, in a forum published on the Politico site.

The outgoing Polish president Andrzej Duda, candidate for his re-election on June 28, thus undertook to support the traditional Polish family but also to " protect children against LGBT ideology " and prevent its spread " in public institutions ". Many Polish territorial entities, often linked to the conservative nationalist Law and Justice Party (PiS), have also adopted resolutions to declare themselves " free zones of LGBT ideology " in this very Catholic country.

" We strongly condemn any measure of exclusion and discrimination and strongly disapprove of the restrictions on human rights and equality ", in particular the refusal of any legal recognition of transsexuals and transgenders, continue the three ministers. Hungary thus intends to define gender by " biological sex based on birth and the genome ". Transgender and transsexual people, whether operated or not, would no longer be authorized to request a change of sex from the civil status, as is currently the case.
