An indictment for threats and assault was filed this morning (Friday) against a resident of Ana'a in the Galilee, who allegedly attacked a school principal and teacher after demanding his little sister provide a health statement as part of the Corona fight.

About a week ago, a report was received at the Israel Police's Hotline 100 about a young man who came to a high school in Ban'a village and attacked a teacher and principal. Upon receiving the report, police forces were called to the scene, which began scans to locate the accused. Researchers collected evidence, gathered findings and launched an investigation. The defendant, a 21-year-old resident of the village of Ana in the Galilee, was located at Sakhnin College. He was arrested, questioned and the Acre Magistrate's Court extended his detention until the indictment was filed this morning.

The investigation revealed that on the morning of the incident, the defendant's sister arrived at the school without a health statement, and called the defendant to provide her with the permit so that she could be admitted. The defendant arrived in high school and threatened the guard to put him in jail. Mashurab decided to jump over the fence and reached the school yard. The indictment also reveals that when the defendant noticed the school principal he started yelling and threatening him to come out and "kill him." One of the teachers present at the scene took the defendant toward the stairs, which attacked and pushed him toward the parapet. The principal asked the defendant to comment on his behavior, and in response pulled his leg down on the staircase causing his injury.

This morning an indictment was filed in the Acre Magistrate's Court against the resident of the village, in addition to a request for detention until the end of the proceedings. Against the accused for offenses of threats, assault causing sabotage, assaulting an education worker and criminal trespass.
