About 700 male and female students from the colleges of human medicine in Syrian universities (government and private) and non-Syrian students today took the second session of the standard medical exam conducted by the Measurement and Evaluation Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with all precautions taken and measures taken to address the Corona virus.

The Director General of the Center, Dr. Maysoon Dashash, explained in a statement to SANA that the applicants were divided into six exam centers in universities (Damascus, Aleppo, Tishreen, Al-Baath, Tartous and Hama), while a number of Syrian students in Germany, Austria, Beirut, and Cairo submitted in the access centers outside Syria, indicating that the exam contained 120 questions In the fields of internal, skin, laboratory and pediatric diseases.

Getting a 60 percent mark is a condition for success for Syrian university students, and the student benefits from the exam aid by two marks, while graduates of non-Syrian universities undergo the standard medical exam for the equivalence of their certificates, and the passing score is 50 percent, while the 60 percent mark is a condition for progression to a graduate study comparison.

The center had last Saturday the first session of the exam and included the specialties of surgery, ocular and auricular, gynecology and obstetrics.
