The Iranian Minister of Defense, Brigadier Amir Hatimi, confirmed today that the defense industries in Iran have reached the stage of self-sufficiency.
"Defense industries have reached the pinnacle of development and self-reliance," IRNA quoted Hatami as saying, adding that "by relying on national science and technologies we can meet the needs of the armed forces in all areas of combat, land, air, sea, missile, electronic, and radar, in proportion to the potential threats to the enemy."
Hatimi added: In light of facing various conspiracies, Iran needs cohesion and national unity, avoiding differences and adhering to resistance and steadfastness in front of enemy attacks.
During the past years, Iran announced multiple defense achievements, including missiles, tanks and aircraft, as part of its defense policies and confronting external threats.
