The rapper Moha La Squale, arrested on Friday in the 18th arrondissement of Paris and placed in police custody for refusing to comply with aggravated, contempt of the person depositing public authority and rebellion, will be presented to a judge on Saturday, said the Paris parquet to AFP.
The 25-year-old Parisian rapper was arrested following a routine traffic stop after the police discovered that he was on a search warrant for aggravated refusal to comply, according to a police source.
Moha La Squale - whose real name is Mohamed Bellahmed - first managed to escape on foot before being caught and " hardly handcuffed " by three police officers, according to this same source, an arrest which is visible on several videos which have circulated on social networks. His police custody was lifted late Saturday morning.
" I noticed that he had numerous wounds and injuries which made him unfit to appear in court, " his lawyer, Elise Arfi, told AFP. “ We await a human decision and common sense from the magistrate before whom he will be presented. "
The search warrant follows a " motorcycle rodeo on May 21 in the twentieth arrondissement of Paris ", " during which he refused to comply with requests to stop, and failed to strike a young girl in her flight " , according to a source familiar with the matter.
