In response to Hong Kong or becoming a national security risk, the agenda of this year’s National People’s Congress includes a new "Hong Kong version of the National Security Law", which plugs Hong Kong’s national security loophole and is put into practice in Hong Kong in Annex III of the Basic Law, disguised as part of Hong Kong’s national security legislation .
