Ibrahim Ghazoline, who is more than eighty years old, is nicknamed the wrestlers sheikh and the spiritual father of wrestling enthusiasts for his contribution to the graduation and discovery of a large group of international stars in weightlifting and Roman and free wrestling throughout his sporting career as a player, coach and referee.
Ghazoulin spent most of his life on the rug of wrestling, the boxing arena and the weightlifting halls as a player, coach, international referee and his many accomplishments during his sporting career that started when he was sixteen years old when his love for the champion Mohamed Deeb Taftafah with muscles turned to join the club of the old coast, thanks to him won many of the Republic championships He crowned his first title in 1962, defying the many difficulties that he faced, such as all athletes, such as lack of interest and training in straw, and most importantly, the posts were in those days at the player's expense.
Ghazoulin tells his story with wrestling for the SANA Sports correspondent in Lattakia, saying: “The wrestling saw the light in the province of Latakia in the fifties of the last century with the presence of white hands that laid their foundations and launched them in the boxes, specifically in a rented house in Sheikh Daher, and that was the first initiative that paved the way for the beginning of the sport of wrestling and spread in Lattakia After that, a second center was opened in a house in the Al-Sulaibah neighborhood in the form of a small club, and a center followed in another house before entering the game to Al-Sahel in 1953, after which the centers and sports houses were opened under his supervision, and he was credited with building their foundations and the bases of their continuity.
Ghazoulin continued that he is most proud of his contribution to preparing, sponsoring and training a group of international champions such as Abdel Wahab al-Shaghri, Ghassan Yaqoub Agha, Khaled Omeish, Sobhi Ajour and Imad Kaddour in the game of weightlifting in addition to Muhammad Hassoun and Issam Sheikh Salem The late Hassan Qudsi, who excelled in many power games.
Ghazoulin revealed that he headed the first Syrian women's wrestling federation and managed through his work to leave a clear imprint, as he conducted training sessions and tournaments for women to build a new generation of women's wrestling, and he was able to pick the players based on the experiences and tests that Lattakia players succeeded in, and they had the largest share in participating in the external championships, most notably the heroine A glyco mirage weighing 70 kg and Nabil Asaad weighing 65 kg and chaired the first technical committee for power games that included wrestling, weightlifting, bodybuilding, weightlifting and boxing, and he moved from them to arbitration, wrestling training, weightlifting and bodybuilding and was the smallest referee in those days where he judged several contests for the world champion Qasim Yazbek and Zuhair Haddad Ghassan Al-Agha, Raheef Al-Agha and Abdel-Wahab Al-Shaghri.
Ghazoline sought to develop his sports culture, studied training science in Bulgaria and Ukraine, and followed several training and arbitration courses first in 1962 in Homs under the supervision of the late Saeed Al-Romani and won the badge of international rule in wrestling in 1986 in Jordan and a first degree of weightlifting, bodybuilding and boxing and provided the national team with dozens of champions who crowned the Arab Championships And international and continental, then moved to the field work and contributed to the spread of the game at the level of Syria through the courses and lectures that he was giving to the qualification of coaches and referees and free wrestlers in most of the provinces since 2000 until 2019.
With his long experience, he succeeded in selecting a highly qualified training cadre to oversee the wrestling of Lattakia through coaches Mohamed Hassoun and Mustafa Shanan. Lattakia team starred and achieved the lead for six consecutive years at the level of the republic. Pro, Nahla Manzelji, Neha Abu Kaf, Kholoud Abu Zayd, and the male category Tammam Farran, the 55-kg Asian champion, with Roman wrestling, and the brothers Ahmed and Youssef Hassoun, and Jarrah Sheikh Muhammad, the Arab and Arab champion, plus 100 kg, in Roman wrestling, whichever is the Republic’s champion, weighing 96 kg.
Ghazoulin worked as vice president of the wrestling union for more than twenty years and head of training centers in Syria and head of the Technical Committee for Wrestling in Lattakia since the beginning of the sixties of the last century until now, although he sees him as a burning flame in search of talented players to transform them into real heroes and generosity several times, most recently in the annual conference for the game in Lattakia .
