Members of the Homs and Civil Defense Fire Brigade in Homs put out several fires that broke out with agricultural crops and fruit trees in Homs and its countryside.

Colonel Othman Jouda, commander of the Homs Fire Brigade, said in a statement to a SANA reporter that the firefight cadres in Homs put out a forest fire on the Homs road to Palmyra near the town of Al Rayyan in the eastern Homs countryside, noting that the wind and heavy smoke led to a traffic accident on the road and that the firefighters saved the driver.

Judah added that the firefighting cadres put out a fire on olive trees on Homs Tartous Road near Sheen Bridge, in addition to agricultural crops fires in the villages of Buznaya and Umm Haretin, west of Homs, and grass fires in separate areas of Homs and its countryside.

Judah called on citizens to be careful and careful not to throw cigarette butts or set fire to avoid fires, especially with the presence of winds that help them out.

Earlier, the commander of the Homs Fire Brigade stated that the firefighting operations of Homs received a report of a huge herbal fire that broke out near the "Prabu" warehouses of the Homs Electricity Company west of the city, noting that the elements of the regiment moved immediately to put it out, but that the strong winds caused the fire to extend to one side of the cables In the warehouse, but the firefighters were able to control it, put it out, and cool it down.

Judah pointed out that the elements of the regiment put out, in cooperation with the Civil Defense, a group of fires that affected apple trees in the village of “Al-Maranah” in the Dahr Al-Qusair region in the western countryside of Homs, in addition to a fire that affected forest trees in the March forest in the city of Homs and a number of herb fires in separate areas in the governorate countryside.

Judah explained that the regiment managed to put out fires that broke out in three houses in the Al-Sabeel neighborhood of Homs without any human damage.
