The Board of Directors of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and the Central Exporters Committee stressed the need to support local production to counter unfair coercive measures imposed on Syria and to provide Syrian products in local markets at the lowest prices.
Engineer Abdel Kafi Al-Massoum, member of Homs Chamber of Industry, pointed out that the coercive economic measures imposed on Syria are not new to Syrian industry and producers and that the so-called “Caesar’s Law” with its negative effects is in order to pressure on Syrian production and the strength of the citizen, pointing out that the meeting came out with several proposals about doubling Efforts and reducing production costs and providing Syrian products in the market at the lowest prices.
For his part, Eng. Raafat Shamaa, Secretary of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, pointed out that the concern of the industrialists is their only concern is to support the Syrian pound, reduce the exchange rate and stop lending in the Syrian pound except for export development industrial projects, especially agricultural projects that are inputs into the export development industry.
While Loay Nahlawi, Chairman of the Central Industrial Export Committee of the Federation of Chambers of Industry stressed that the concerns of industrialists in all governorates are unified to emphasize the importance of supporting industry and export, pointing out that work is currently being carried out on the project of supporting industrial and commercial exports, which gives a great incentive to quickly restore the industry in Syria.
