The UK's Counterterrorism Unit declared on Sunday that the stabbing attack that took place at the Forbury Park in Redding, near the capital of London, was indeed a terrorist attack.
Terrorism unit forces raided after the attack on the home where the terrorist lived and confiscated equipment he owned, which apparently contributed to information about the attacker's objectives.

Police records indicate that the person who stopped the attack was an unarmed police officer who was present at the park during the assault. The policeman stormed the assailant, laid him down on the floor and disarmed him.
The information so far verified indicates that the attacker attacked a group of people in the park and stabbed them with a long knife. Only after long minutes did the police succeed in arresting the attacker. Two ambulance helicopters were shot at the scene, which evacuated 3 people who were critically injured while resuscitated, but their death was determined at the hospital. Additional injured were evacuated from the scene in ambulances.
Contrary to what was initially suspected, the incident has nothing to do with a quiet protest that occurred earlier in Forbury Park - a rally against the racism of the global wave of protests titled: Black Lives Matter, which has been held weekly every week for the past few weeks. Reading police implored people to stay away from the park area.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted: "My thoughts are with all those affected by the horrific event in Redding. I thank the emergency services on the spot."
