A Bulgarian suspected of having committed at least 150 burglaries in France since 2011, half of which in Lyon, was arrested in Le Mans (Sarthe) by investigators from the Rhône, according to the police.

This 52-year-old man, arrested last Thursday, was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention after his presentation on Monday at the Lyon judicial court where the case is being examined. Investigators from the burglary repression brigade of the Rhône Departmental Security Service had identified since 2014 a recurrent DNA profile at places of theft in the Lyon conurbation, but also near Dijon, Narbonne and Montpellier.
In 2018, the neighbor of a burglary victim in Bron, in the suburbs of Lyon, reported the presence of a van during the events. Intelligence proved to be precious and, little by little, a suspect was detected on social networks thanks to the tracking of the use of stolen computer equipment, including a tablet spotted in Bulgaria.
Unknown to the French police, this man was, however, from the Romanian and Bulgarian services. The search of his home in Le Mans led to the discovery of a handgun and all the " necessities " of the perfect burglar, including a gold tester. He acknowledged all of the 151 facts alleged against him during the investigation, including 73 in the Lyon region, according to the same source.
