The Israeli occupation authorities are stepping up their intensification of Judaizing settlement operations in the occupied Palestinian territories in preparation for the implementation of colonial annexation schemes in light of the failure of the international community to hold them accountable for their violations of the rights of the Palestinian people, particularly its right to establish the independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with Jerusalem as its capital.

The National Office for the Defense of the Earth and Resistance to Settlement of the Palestinian Liberation Organization revealed in a report that the occupation authorities moved from expanding settlements to expanding settlement roads and closing the entrances to towns in the occupied West Bank to isolate them from each other while linking settlements to implement the annexation schemes stipulated in them The so-called deal of the century aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.

The settlement roads established by the occupation in Jerusalem and the depth of the occupied West Bank, which clearly reflect the racism of the occupation against the Palestinians, as they are prohibited from passing through them, robbed large areas of their lands, as their length exceeds 1,400 km. It is also the nucleus of the escalating settlement in the occupied West Bank. Expansion of a settlement road to link settlements on Palestinian land in the northern West Bank with that built in the south, threatening to seize large areas of land between the cities of occupied Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

The head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, Walid Assaf, explained in a statement to a SANA correspondent that the occupation authorities' construction of new tunnels and settlement roads in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank is a practical translation of the colonial annexation scheme that establishes Palestinian towns isolated from each other in settlements in implementation of the disastrous terms of the century deal.

Assaf indicated that the goal of the road that the occupation authorities are expanding now in occupied Jerusalem is to isolate the eastern areas in Jerusalem and the villages west of Bethlehem from their entire surroundings and seize large areas of Palestinian land in the vicinity of the city of Hebron, while the settlements are linked together.

Assaf assured that the Palestinian people will continue their steadfastness and steadfastness on their land and their struggle against the occupation to thwart all of their Judaization schemes.

In turn, the coordinator of the People's Committee to Resist the Wall and Settlement Salah Al-Khawaja confirmed that the occupation authorities, in addition to expanding the road, are working to establish 15 thousand settlement units between the cities of Jerusalem and Bethlehem within the framework of implementing a dangerous scheme included in the terms of the deal of the century, which aims to seize 12 percent of the occupied West Bank .

For his part, the director of the Jerusalem International Center, Hassan Khater, explained that the construction of settlement roads in the depth of the Palestinian lands falls within a systematic colonial scheme to displace thousands of Palestinians and isolate Palestinian cities and towns from each other, which eliminates any opportunity to establish an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with Jerusalem as its capital. A serious move by the international community to implement the decisions of international legitimacy, but it suffices with statements of rejection without moving a finger to stop the occupation crimes against the Palestinians.

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Mustafa Al-Barghouthi, pointed out that the occupation authorities are intensifying settlements in occupied Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley in preparation for their seizure and emptying of the Palestinian presence, stressing that resistance is the only way for the Palestinian people to stop colonial annexation and Judaization schemes based on racism and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.

Al-Barghouti called on the international community to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in their struggle to obtain their legitimate rights and take practical steps to stop the ongoing occupation crimes against them and hold those responsible accountable.
