The humanitarian ship Ocean Viking set sail again on Monday 22 June after three months of stoppage linked to the health crisis and is heading for Libyan waters to rescue migrants shipwrecked in the Mediterranean, an AFP journalist on board found.

The ambulance chartered by the NGO SOS Méditerranée, which has implemented a strict protocol to prevent the spread of the coronavirus on board, has weighed anchor from its home port in Marseille around 8:30 am and plans to arrive on Thursday in this area of the central Mediterranean.
