The World Health Organization announced the registration of 183020 new cases of coronavirus emerging around the world in the past 24 hours, which represents a new record for the number of infections recorded in one day.
Reuters quoted the organization as saying in its daily report that "the total global injuries exceeded 8.7 million cases, while more than 461 thousand deaths were recorded," noting that the Americas recorded the largest number of new infections, which exceeded 116 thousand injuries.
The previous record for new cases in the world was 181232, and it was recorded on the eighteenth of this month.
