The business begins on the night of June 15-16. A woman with strange behavior is spotted by firefighters. She " wandered like a ghost, " assured a witness to the Parisian .
Aged 34, she said that night the firefighters threw herself into the Seine with her lifeless 11-year-old daughter in her arms, from the railing of the Villeneuve-le-Roi bridge, in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges.
An act which could be explained, according to the mother, by an accident which occurred the same day. As she accompanies her daughter to the hospital, suffering from stomach aches, she notices that her child has removed her seat belt. Panicked, the woman reportedly lost control of her car and crashed into the bridge. After the shock, the girl, seated in the passenger seat, would have remained inanimate. Desperate, the latter would have taken her in her arms and would have thrown herself into the Seine where she would have lost her child before returning to the bank.
The story, told to the firefighters by this woman, is for the moment neither confirmed nor refuted by the investigators of the brigade of protection of the minors, which takes charge of the investigations. The mother was placed in pre-trial detention after being charged with intentional homicide, said the Créteil prosecution.
