HKU recruited 22 cancer patients and their caregivers to participate in the study, covering breast cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer and kidney cancer, etc. The diagnosis period ranges from half a year to 8 years. The 22 participants were divided into an experimental group and a control group. After being evaluated, the experimental group will participate in a 6-week "integrated body, mind, and body intervention course." The course combines psychology, art therapy, and traditional oriental philosophy, such as qigong, regimen, and acupressure.

The mid-term report showed that 90% of the patients believed that the curriculum knowledge was very practical. The self-assessment of the patients' understanding of cancer was significantly improved, with a score of 10 points, and the score increased from 5.91 points to 6.91 points; the anxiety about death was reduced (5.36 points to 5.27 points ). In terms of caregivers, everyone believes that the disease management knowledge of the course is very practical. The caregiver’s satisfaction with family and friends’ support and overall life satisfaction increased significantly, from 7 points to 7.82 points and from 6.91 points to 7.45 points; taboo decreased when talking about life and death (3.45 points to 3.09 points).
