According to the National Seismological Service (SSN), a 7.5 magnitude earthquake was registered at the National Autonomous University of Mexico . The epicenter was 12 kilometers southeast of Crucecita, Oaxaca.
The head of local government, Claudia Sheinbaum, said on her Twitter account that the protocols were activated. It was strongly perceived in the states of Chiapas, Puebla, Guerrero, Morelos, Estado de México and CDMX.
People took to the streets before the activation of the Seismic Alert; So far, no structural damage or injuries have been reported due to the significant seismic movement. However, there is a strong operation in Mexico City.
Many people registered nervous breakdowns, there are reports of people passed out from the shock caused by the movement that felt very strong.
