The Export Authority begins the implementation of two programs to support industrial and agricultural production prepared for export

The Domestic Production and Export Support and Development Authority has announced the start of receiving requests from exporters who wish to benefit from the industrial and agricultural production support programs intended for export from surplus domestic production aimed at encouraging the flow of products permitted to be exported to foreign markets.

The Director General of the Commission, Thaer Al-Fayyad, stated in a statement to the delegate of SANA that the implementation of these two programs came after the approval of the Economic Committee on the proposals of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade on the policy of foreign trade and the development of local production, pointing out that the ministry assigned the authority to take the necessary measures to start work under each of the two programs.

According to Al-Fayyad, the first program is (Supporting Industrial Production Directed for Export) and its duration is 3 months. It provides grant subsidies with a percentage of the value of industrial exports in Syrian pounds, at 10 percent for the source product itself and 7 percent for the source on behalf of others.

As for the second program, as indicated by Al-Fayyad, it is (support for agricultural products prepared for export) and its duration is 3 months and is done by providing support for land shipping to the Iraqi market and Gulf markets in Syrian pounds equivalent to 25 percent of shipping costs after submitting the identification documents specified by the Authority for Support and Development of Local Production and Exports Coordination with the Ministry of Transport to approve the transportation fees specified by the Ministry for each country.

Al-Fayadh indicated that those who wish to benefit from the two mentioned programs can refer to the building of the Local Production Support and Development Authority and exports and its branches in the governorates to see the required documents and papers.

The Chairman of the Central Export Committee at the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and Vice-President of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside Louay Nahlawi stressed the importance of the program to support the export of industrial production, which came in response to the demands of industrialists on the need to support local products starting from production to export surplus from it and enhance the access of local products to external markets and work Reducing and handling burdens on the export process and securing export logistical requirements.
