(CNN Spanish) -  There are already more than 10 million cases of coronavirus registered in the world and more than 500,000 deaths. And the Americas are still the region hardest hit by the virus.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the United States and Brazil remain in the first two places on the list, with 2.5 and 1.3 million infections, respectively.
