The Government announced today (30th) that the Chief Executive has re-appointed Dr. Cha Yichao as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Corporation (Science and Technology Park Corporation) for a term of two years, effective July 1.

After succeeding Luo Fanjiaofen as chairman of the board of directors of the Science and Technology Park in 2018, Cha Yichao was again appointed for a two-year term. Cha Yichao is an entrepreneur and the nephew of Li Ka-shing, former chairman of the Changhe Group. The government also announced that the Financial Secretary has appointed three new members to the board of directors of the Science and Technology Parks Corporation and reappointed eight current members for a two-year term effective from July 1, including the appointment of Chen Shuang, Ma Guiyi and Huang Yongguang As a new board member of the Science and Technology Park Company, Che Pinjue, Cai Hongxing, He Chaoping, Wu Yongjia, Ni Yili, Pan Jiaming, Tang Xiaoou and Xie Diyang were re-appointed as members of the Board of Directors of the Science and Technology Park Company. The terms of the two current members of the board of directors, Ma Heng and Xu Lizhi, expired today (30th).

The Science and Technology Park Corporation began operations in 2001 and manages the Hong Kong Science Park, three industrial villages and innovation centers. The company provides a range of services, including cultivating startups through incubation programs, providing facilities and support for applied R&D activities, and providing land and related facilities for production processes.
