In addition, physical activity will no longer be possible, although the outings with boys will continue to be enabled during the weekends.

"We have a very worrying and significant increase in the number of cases. (...) The idea is to cut a cycle of viral circulation with a strategy that combines strict measures with detection and isolation. We know it is not easy, but we have to reduce maximum circulation and personal contact , "Horacio Rodríguez Larreta explained this Tuesday.

The head of government acknowledged that retracing opening measures implies "anguish" and "effort" for a large part of the population, although "measures such as these, which combine strict quarantine with early detection, have helped contain contagions" in other cities in the world.

City, the largest with this new phase impacts will be about 70 thousand businesses of so- called non - essential, they should be closed. They were enabled in stages. First, in nearby commercial areas, where pedestrian spaces were added to the streets. And then, on June 8, those of clothing and footwear , with specific protocols to guarantee sanitary measures.

What about shops?

The so-called essentials, which are about 50 thousand, will be enabled to function . That is, supermarkets, warehouses and pharmacies. "They are those who were empowered in the first decree of social isolation, preventive and compulsory on March 20," they said. The restriction covers some 70,000 stores in areas such as bazaars, furniture stores, toy stores, and clothing and footwear stores, which will now have to lower the blinds again. From the City it emerged that the national Government promised to provide aid to merchants and that it will be complemented by other measures of the Buenos Aires Executive that will be detailed in the coming days.

Will the banks remain open?

Yes. They will remain operational with the current modality. That is, the attention will be with a previous shift to avoid crowds and lines outside.

Is the activity of the runners suspended?

Yes, from July 1st. It was at the center of a discussion that became more political than health . Although there is no evidence that the activity has to do with the rise in infections, from a political point of view they consider it a non-essential activity and think that enabling it is a bad sign when thousands of merchants are being asked to close their stores again. local, with the damages that this implies.

Are the boys' exits maintained?

Yes. "The specialists have pointed out to us the importance for the emotional health of the boys," Larreta explained. They are still evaluating whether to return to the previous stage, when they could only go out one day according to the parents' DNI number

What about public transportation?

The idea of limiting the crossing of buses from the GBA to the Capital was rejected. However, the idea that only essential workers will travel throughout the AMBA, something that is strictly speaking already in force . To do this, national authorities want only the SUBE cards of workers who have permission to circulate to be enabled.

The subway already works with closed stations and there would be no changes in that schedule. Also in the City there are train stations that are not enabled on the different lines.

The Buenos Aires authorities agree that the measures taken since last week under the number of people circulating, but there will also be more controls at the entrances and at different points in the City .
