Widely re-elected on Sunday, the Prime Minister emerged strengthened from the ballot. A victory that is reflected in public opinion, where it culminates in popularity peaks.

He managed to secure his local future. But what about his national functions? According to several successive polls, the French support Édouard Philippe, who was re-elected mayor of Le Havre on Sunday evening with more than 58% of the votes in the second round of the municipal elections. Despite the imminent reshuffle to prepare for the "next world", the Prime Minister's popularity barometers are showing off after three months of managing the health crisis.

A Harris Interactive poll indicated on Sunday evening that 55% of French people wanted Edouard Philippe to continue in Matignon. And according to a survey by the same institute published Friday, its action garnered 51% of positive judgments (against 44% for Emmanuel Macron), with a significant breakthrough among socialist sympathizers (60%, +12).

The French place Macron far behind Philippe and Raoult to reinvent the country

Monday morning, a survey carried out by Ifop went in the same direction. According to this study, the Prime Minister is the personality in which the French have the most confidence to " reinvent France " in the years to come. Édouard Philippe thus leads this survey, carried out on 37 political figures, but also scientists. In total, 45% of those polled have confidence in the current Prime Minister to " reinvent France ", one point more than for Nicolas Hulot, former Minister for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition (from May 2017 to August 2018).

Emmanuel Macron only reached ninth place behind many right-wing figures, such as Xavier Bertrand (38%), Nicolas Sarkozy (36%) or François Baroin (36%). The head of state inspires confidence in only 32% of those polled and is even largely outdistanced by the controversial scientist, Didier Raoult, who comes in third position in this poll (42%).
