Thousands of Turkish lawyers demonstrated in several Turkish cities, protesting the arbitrary policies of the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and against his pursuit of a law through which he would control the bar.
"After Erdogan took control of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, prosecutors and judges, he is now trying to control the bar associations so that he can silence the voices of the opposition in all its forms," Durakoglu said.
And saw many Turkish cities, including Izmir, Gaziantep, Antalya and Aydin demonstrations in which thousands of lawyers participated in an expression of their solidarity with the Istanbul demonstration while thirty union leaders met in Ankara and announced a huge demonstration that will be organized next Friday and invited all Turkish lawyers.
