Why make it simple when you can make it complicated? France is about to experience an economic cataclysm taking tens of thousands of jobs and businesses. State authority is almost daily undermined in the streets by groups of individuals who threaten national cohesion. A method and solutions are therefore urgently needed to get out of the rut and restore order.
Never mind, Emmanuel Macron continues his conceptual quest to draw the new path on which he intends to engage the country. He consults and, from time to time, sends a few messages. The latest was addressed today in the regional daily press.
Two ideas come back forcefully. France must be more ecological and less Jacobin. No doubt, this is the trend, but the question is how? The resumption of most of the conclusions of the famous Citizen Convention on the climate seems to plunge us dangerously into the gap of decline.
