"Reconciling employees and shareholders is possible"

The health crisis revealed that during this period, the payment of a dividend to shareholders could be indecent by weakening the company and weakening its employees. The public authorities were invited into the debate by making the extension of fiscal and social deadlines granted during this spring, as well as the guarantee given by the State to the loans it has granted to large groups, on the condition that the beneficiaries of these facilities refrain from paying
dividends in 2020.

It's a safe bet that the question of the legality of the dividend will reappear next year. And that we will point the finger at those of companies that dare to distribute dividends when they have asked for sacrifices from their employees to allow them to face the crisis.
