Special Assistant to the President of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council for International Affairs Hussein Amir Abdullahyan stressed that the United States' public support for terrorist groups and their interference in state affairs has led to an escalation of crises in the region.
Abdullahian said during his meeting today the Italian ambassador in Tehran, Giuseppe Peroni that Washington's unconstructive behavior is tension and instability in the region, stressing that Iran will bypass the new embargo measures against it.
Abdullahian called on European countries not to miss the opportunity of active economic cooperation with Iran and said that "the fear of part of Europe of unilateral American behavior led to the missed golden opportunities for economic cooperation with Iran."
For his part, the Italian ambassador pointed out his country's desire to maintain bilateral relations with Iran, noting Tehran's role in providing assistance to combat terrorism in the region.
