Detecting an unlicensed detergent workshop in Tartous and confiscating unknown materials

The patrols of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Tartus have seized a workshop for the manufacture of detergents and washing powders that are not licensed in one of the houses where the owner adds the salt after grinding and cheating in its manufacture.

The Director of Internal Trade, Tartous Hassan Hossam El-Din, stated in a statement to the SANA correspondent today that 500 kg of salt and 276 packages of clear liquid were confiscated as contained in empty water bottles and the used machines were confiscated.

He pointed out that the internal trade patrols and consumer protection organized a number of ration adjustments against the violating commercial activities, and seized and confiscated expired materials, including milk, detergents, soft drinks, and a conserve.

Hosam El-Din pointed out that unknown sources were also seized and confiscated, including baby food, alcoholic and soft drinks, toothpaste, cheese and irregular coffee, without a validity date or specifications card.
