The US drug company "Modern" has announced it is rejecting the mass trial that was scheduled to take place next week, in what appears to be a stumbling block in the company's way of fulfilling its desire to present reliable vaccine for corona disease by Thanksgiving.

Experts involved in the company's corona vaccine project told the medical news site "stat new" that rejection is part of a common medical practice but could not say when the trial will take place.

"I understand that they want to start trying the vaccines as early as July and they claim they are committed to it. As far as I can tell, they are pretty close to that goal," said one of the company's researchers.

The experiment, with 30,000 volunteers from the general public, was scheduled to begin on July 9th. The company did not respond to media questions and did not explain the nature of the rejection at the start of the experiment.

Company CEO Stephen Bensell told the US CNBC network that the company is still planning to begin the mass phase of the trial during July. Either way, there may be a significant delay in developing an effective vaccine for corona disease.
