The Paris Court of Appeal confirmed this Friday, July 3, the dismissal after twenty years of investigation into the attack on the plane of the Rwandan President Juvénal Habyarimana's plane, lawyers for the parties announced to the press. This episode was the trigger for the 1994 genocide.

After six months of deliberations, the magistrates of the investigative chamber of the court of appeal confirmed the decision of the anti-terrorist judges who ordered on December 21, 2018 to drop the charges against nine members or former members of the entourage of the current Rwandan President Paul Kagame. The lawyers for the civil parties, who want to relaunch the investigations, declared that they were appealing on points of law.
