The representative of the Federal Republic of Germany to Palestine, Ambassador Christian Klagis, affirmed his country's position categorically rejecting the Israeli occupation plans annexing parts of the West Bank because it undermined any opportunity to establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
During his meeting with Palestinian Judge Mahmoud al-Habbash in Ramallah today, Klagis stressed that according to Wafa news agency, his country, in cooperation with European Union countries, will not accept the passage of the Israeli annexation plan, which constitutes a clear violation of international law.
In turn, Al-Habbash renewed the steadfast Palestinian position by rejecting all the colonial plans on the Palestinian soil, whether the occupational annexation plans for any part of them or the so-called American (deal of the century) aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.
Al-Habbash called on the countries of the world, especially the European Union, of which Germany is one of the founding members, to work to prevent the crime of annexation and to take practical measures to compel the occupation to respect international law and stop its crimes against the Palestinian people, their land and sanctities.
