The Director General of the General Authority for Palestinian Arab Refugees, Ali Mustafa, stressed that the United Nations and UNRWA must tackle the so-called Caesar's Law and all unilateral coercive measures taken against Syria because they are inconsistent with all international laws and regulations and the laws of the United Nations.

Mustafa, before his participation from Damascus in the meetings of the UNRWA Consultative Committee held today in Amman, presumably in a statement to SANA, indicated that he demanded during the meetings to allocate a fair budget to the General Authority for Palestinian Refugees in Syria, indicating that Syria treats Palestinian refugees as a treatment for the Syrian citizen. As for the current circumstances, more Needs to provide financial and food aid in light of the difficult circumstances imposed by the terrorist war on Syria and the economic measures imposed on it.

Mustafa pointed out that what Syria has provided to Palestinian refugees has not been provided by any country in the world and that everything that UNRWA does is in coordination and cooperation with the Syrian government.

Mustafa stressed that the plan of the Israeli occupation entity to annex new Palestinian lands in the West Bank is a violation of international law and international legitimacy decisions and that the Palestinian people will stand in the face of this plan until its failure and restore the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

It is noteworthy that the meetings of the UNRWA Advisory Committee began by video yesterday by default in Amman for two days and aim to discuss its fundraising strategy and its reform programs with the participation of 30 countries among members and representatives of the Arab countries hosting Palestinian refugees and the donor countries of UNRWA and the European Community.
