The outbreak of coronavirus infection in the world has reached new highs, especially in the Americas, as the number of deaths due to the epidemic continues, particularly in the United States and Brazil.

The WHO data showed that the last seven days were the worst in terms of the level of the virus outbreak since it appeared in China at the end of 2019, as the United States recorded a new record number of daily infections with more than 55 thousand cases during the past 24 hours.

According to the organization, the situation remains worrying in Latin America and the Caribbean, especially Brazil, which yesterday recorded 48 thousand and 105 cases of corona, bringing the total to one million and 496 thousand and 858, and deaths to 61 thousand and 884.

Colombia has crossed the threshold of 100,000 infections by registering 4,163 cases within one day, while Mexico's health authorities announced yesterday that 6,741 new cases of HIV were recorded, the largest daily count recorded by the country, bringing the total to 238511 and deaths to 29189 after registering 679 new cases, according to Ministry of Health figures.

And the United States, where the first death was recorded by Coved 19 early February, is the country worst affected in terms of the number of deaths and injuries, with 131411 deaths out of two million, 883 thousand and 115 injuries, while it has recovered at least one million and 185 thousand and 14 cases.
