The Russian Federal Authority for Consumer Protection and the Welfare of Citizens in Russia, "Russia Potter Nadzor" confirmed today that more than 20.4 million tests have been conducted to detect infection with the Corona virus in the country.
"More than 20.4 million laboratory tests have been carried out to detect the virus in Russia, and 284,158 people are currently under medical supervision on suspicion of an epidemic," the commission said in a statement reported by Sputnik.
The statement indicated that 282 thousand tests were conducted to detect corona during the past 24 hours.
Russian President Vladimir Putin recently instructed the government to expand the scope of testing to detect cases of coronavirus in the country.
