A 23-year-old man drove a motorcycle to the on-duty police officer on Koble Link, Wan Chai near Jaffe Road on July 1. He was charged with one crime of inciting others to split the country and one crime of terrorist activity, and became the first defendant in the case after the legislation of the Minato District National Security Law. The case appeared in West Kowloon Magistrates' Court this afternoon.

The defense representative lawyer Liu Weicong said that since there was no information on the judges handling the "Minato City National Security Law" case from the Judiciary website, he asked Su Huide if he was one of the six "designated judges" appointed by the Chief Executive. Su Huide confirmed in court that It also means that he has received a letter of appointment from the Chief Executive. In other words, Su Huide was the first publicly-appointed national security law designated judge.

"Hong Kong 01" is inquiring the government about the list of 5 other appointed judges, but no reply has been received.
