The Hong Kong version of the National Security Law came into effect last month. Xinhua News Agency reported today (3rd) that the State Council decided to appoint Luo Huining, the director of the Liaison Office, as the National Security Affairs Adviser of the Special Administrative Region's National Security Committee in accordance with the relevant provisions of the National Security Law of the Port Area. In addition, Zheng Yanxiong was appointed as the director of the National Security Agency of the Central Government in Hong Kong, and Li Jiangzhou and Sun Qingye were appointed as deputy directors of the National Security Administration.
