As the intense search continues for Fabián Gutiérrez, former private secretary to Vice President Cristina Kirchner, who disappeared since Thursday night in El Calafate, news was reported. In the early hours of Saturday, an intense operation was carried out that included five raids, arrests and raking of various areas of the city.
Three young people between 18 and 20 years old were detained by order of Judge Carlos Narvarte. According to the Now Calafate site , several elements of interest for the cause were seized and a fourth young man, the brother of one of the delayed, was arrested. He wanted to flee in a van when the security forces were heading to his house in Punta Sovereign. In the search they found, among other things, a sheet that would have blood stains and clothing.
The TN news channel reported that one of the detainees was the last person to see Gutiérrez .
In addition, they assured that the delayed "are known criminals in El Calafate, people who have a history."
They also reported that in the raids on the vehicle at Gutiérrez's family home, they found, among other things, "latex gloves, garments with suspected blood spots and seals."
This last element, they indicate, is a key piece of information since the first of the seized and later hijacked cars (a gray Ford Fiesta Kinetic) would also have been found with seals.
This is in addition to a jacket with blood stains that investigators found on Friday in Gutiérrez's truck, which had a broken glass and where there were also seals.
The raids were carried out at Avenida Fagnano at 1700, Calle 25 de Mayo at 200, Calle Ovidio Vergara and Avenida 17 de Octubre at 1300.
The cell phones of the arrested youths were seized and are being appraised by the Technological Support area of the provincial police, which arrived from Río Gallegos, reported Now Calafate .
Judge Narvarte will take a statement this Saturday to the delayed.
