Divorce refusals at this age also do not remember veterans of the war: After a stubborn struggle, Sarah (pseudonym) recently managed to get a divorce from her husband and became the oldest divorce lawyer out of the 1,000 women released by the Yad Vashem.

When Sarah was 23, she decided to marry her heart, and the two had four children over the years. Over time, the relationship began to experience mostly declines, until on a clear day, in 2005, the husband decided to leave home and move in with another woman, with whom he had a parallel relationship. For Sarah, living under a violent relationship was a great relief, she had 12 years of silence.

One day in 2017, 12 years after they separated, Sarah's husband showed up at the door and announced that he had decided to move back in with her, as if nothing had happened. Sarah, who for many years had ceased to see him as a partner, refused to accept the husband back, and after a few restraining orders, decided to apply for divorce. She opened a divorce case and embarked on a quest to break away from the miserable couple and win the divorce to freedom.

The husband, whose 12 years of absence may have seemed easy to him, refused to give her a divorce and conditioned Sarah's freedom on a variety of different terms, from a far-fetched offer to buy the two-million-dollar divorce to the promise of leaving her alone on her grave. Absurdly, all this did not prevent him from arguing at the same time before the tribunal that he was interested in 'peace of house'.

Sarah, who realized that the battle for freedom was going to be complex, she turned to the Or Torah Stone Hand for Women organization for legal representation. Tamar Aodrbrg, representing Sarah managed to put an end to this affair, bring the husband to cooperate and give the long-awaited divorce his wife.

"Sarah became the oldest woman of about 1,000 women who won the release, and we feel a great privilege that we built For her, the path to freedom, "says Pnina Omar, CEO of the Yad La'isha organization from the Or Torah Stone Network. "The sense of freedom is good for all ages and Sara's struggle is hopeful among many women who think it may be too late to get the divorce. We urge any woman who refuses a divorce to contact us and not give up freedom, no matter if you are 20 or 74, we are here for you." .

Sarah herself felt great excitement at the end of the procedure and was delighted with the sense of freedom she gained after receiving the divorce. "There has never been a normal relationship here, and it is never too late to leave such a bad relationship," she concludes.
