There was a traffic accident in Yuen Long. At 5 a.m. on Monday (6th), a bicycle and two New Territories taxis collided when they crossed Datang Road near the junction of Shibaxiang Road. The cyclist was seriously injured and was unconscious. He was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital for rescue by ambulance. He was still in a coma at that time; 2 taxi drivers and one of the male passengers in the 1 vehicle were sent to hospital with minor injuries. It is understood that one of the passenger-carrying taxis drove along Tai Tong Road in the direction of Yuen Long at the time of the incident. When passing the site, the biker rode out of the road, the taxi could not catch it and knocked it down, and the Fuyue Line collided head-on with another empty taxi. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
