This year, 6,240 students scored 40 to 45 points globally. Hong Kong accounted for 641, accounting for 10.3% of global candidates and 28% of all candidates in Hong Kong. This year's IB pass rate in Hong Kong is 97.94%, which is higher than the global average of 78.75%; the average score of Hong Kong is 36.31 points, which is higher than last year's 35.99 points, and is far higher than the global average score of 29.9 points.

Affected by the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) announced in March this year that the examinations originally scheduled for April 30 to May 22 were cancelled, and the affected subjects or examinations will be replaced by assessment results.
