At about 11.30pm on Monday (6th), a woman reported at a hotel in No. 1 Dundas Street, Mong Kok, alleging that her 7-year-old daughter was slapped by her husband, her face was red and swollen, and her mouth was bleeding. After rushing to the investigation, the police officer arrested the father involved in the case of "child abuse" and "criminal intimidation"; the girl was accompanied by her mother and was taken to Guanghua Hospital for treatment.
It is understood that the family of three involved in the case lives on Ganfang Street near the site. The girl's mother is 39 years old and of Indonesian descent. The 45-year-old father is of Bangladeshi descent. At noon yesterday, he suspected that he had started to work because of disciplinary issues and threatened his wife with words. The Mong Kok Police District Criminal Investigation Team has taken over to follow up.
