At the Bundestag, the condemnation of Israel was already being prepared

The German presidency of the European Union and the Security Council opened last Wednesday in a rather puzzling play: A debate in Berlin's Bundestag on plans to apply Israeli sovereignty to the Judea and Samaria government. Without any "annexation" steps, German intervention in Israel's internal affairs has never been blatant and clearer, and of all the burning issues in the international arena, again, only the Israeli matter is up for debate on the Bundestag.

Two opposition members of Iranian origin stated in this status that the Bundestag never bothered to hold a special hearing or adopt any condemnation decision on Iran's threats to Israel or on human rights violations by the Islamic Republic radical regime. Speakers from the opposition right-wing factions - most notably the Alternative to Germany, which is officially boycotted by Israel - stressed the fact that while Germany and the European Union are constantly beating Israel, they refrain from any criticism of the Palestinians and their leadership, blocking any progress on the settlement.

But it was a minority opinion that was justified by German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, who warned against unilateral measures by Israel, but avoided any reference to the unilateral measures taken in recent years by the Palestinian Authority in stark contrast to the Oslo Accords. Needless to say, he also ignored the breach of the Oslo Accord by the EU and Germany, which was reflected in strengthening the illegal settlement in Khan al-Ahmar.

The delusional show at Bundestag culminated in a senior speech by extremist leftist party "Di Linke," Gregor Gizzi, a former communist whose father was Jewish. Calling on the German government to respond to Israeli "annexation" in stopping security cooperation with Israel, stopping the supply of arms and recognizing the State of Palestine, he emphasized: "For many Jews in the world, it is more shameful that Israel is actually involved in violation of international law, the occupation and humiliation of the Palestinians." "Israel is more negative in the world. This is something that concerns all Jews. Neither they nor Israel will be safe through the annexation plan."

According to the definition of international anti-Semitism, justifying a violation of Jewish security in the world in Israel's steps is anti-Semitism. This disgraceful class, in which a Jew of Jewish origin makes a speech like anti-Semitic in Bundestag, rescued an Iranian representative of the Green Party, who made it clear: "Anti-Semites do not need Israeli policy to be anti-Semitic."

Gizzy's appearance illustrates another facet of the madness of Israeli-German relations: When the extremist party "Di Linke" - whose members support the boycott of Israel, participated in the Marmara flotilla in Gaza, and never seriously confronted its anti-Semitic past - entered the Bundestag 15 years ago Her knees to have a dialogue with her. The right-wing "alternative" party, in which Bundestag's senior officials make rare pro-Israeli positions in German politics, including recognition of Israel's right to Jerusalem or Judea, the Israeli diplomatic establishment prefers to boycott.
