Sometimes you order delivery and expect it to be good, but not how good it is. • This is our experience from the new burgers at Maghreb | Restaurants

Sometimes you order a delivery and expect it to be good, but not how good it is.

  • Of the best deliveries we ate

Almost a year ago, in the days when there was no virus, and our lives revolved around grumbling about another election campaign and thinking about our next flight destination, the restaurant / deli "delicacy" was opened with a loud fanfare.

Behind the place are the people in charge of the silk and kitchen market, and the concept of the place in question is based on a North African-style culinary complex that will have everything, ie food stalls, both a shop and a deli. All the food in the place is based on culinary heritage from countries such as Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Tunis and more.

In recent weeks, after a great deal of success both on location and deliveries, Maghreb launched a new and not-so-ordinary burger menu, a tribute to the American tradition in honor of the Fourth of July birthday. Hundreds of years in the desert. The recipe is based on a blend of different types of fats that produce the perfect meatloaf for slow roasting. " You could say simply "we have a great burger let's taste", and that was enough, but that explanation is also satisfying.

These are three burgers, which will only be served in the afternoon: Unza Burger - a homemade butcher's section with meatballs, baba ganosh, tahini and amber (NIS 56), a burger - hamburger portion of ragu cabbage and smoked brisket (NIS 56).

I'm in isolation right now, and among the zoom workouts I've allowed myself to overeat, so I've tasted the three types for you and I don't regret for a moment. To say that I was surprised would be a little insulting and wrong, because I was expecting something good, but I didn't think I would get anything-so-well, one that I would happily crown as one of the most underrated and successful burger deliveries in Tel Aviv.

These low expectations were not due to the fact that I ordered from a bad place but for the simple reason that Maghreb is not a burger and it is not her flagship product. I assumed it would taste as good as all other things but not something that breaks the equality that can be compared to the "monsters" of the city, such as George de Beff, Vitrina, America and others.

So I assumed, sometimes wrong. The shipment arriving was packaged up and down, there was no chance that something would run out or change even if the envoy was riding here on a gravel road full of potholes. Let's start with what came next to the hamburger. There are two options, fries, which come with paprika and really not in the taste of delivery, but one that comes out frying in those seconds, and therefore also devoured in seconds. The other alternative is the green leaf salad, which came with balsamic sauce and what is already written about it? Just move on to the burger.

For a moment, put the toppings aside, because it's all about whether you connect with them or not, because otherwise the combination of Amba, Metabucha and Babagnos on the burger will have a weird drop to you. Maghreb's patties are just as wonderful, they came from bleeding, red, airy and roast-free, truly amazing, and I'm the one who tends to be strict on burger deliveries.

The prices, as you have seen above, are also reasonable, and if you want to diversify in the stocking there are quite a few interesting additions and meats on the regular menu, but again, as long as it exists, focus on a hamburger-hot recommendation.
