Paris, 1945. Under the leadership of fashion designer Lucien Lelong, the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture unveils its Théâtre de la Mode, a traveling exhibition dedicated to putting Parisian haute couture back in the spotlight. Balenciaga, Carven, Balmain, Jacques Fath dress small dolls there, made by Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier. These wire mannequins take place in decorations signed Christian Bérard and Jean Cocteau, at the Marsan Pavilion of the Museum of Decorative Arts, before traveling around the world.
