He did it before a notary public, presenting his passports. It was the only response to the complaint about private flights abroad for $ 1,200,000. A deputy asked CEAMSE for reports, of which he is also vice president.

A journalistic investigation led to a scandal that splashes the AFA and mixed soccer with politics. Jorge Lanata revealed in his Journalism for All (PPT) Box program that the president of the AFA, Claudio Tapia, took 23 private flights abroad at a cost of $ 1,200,000 and for this matter a member of the Civic Coalition asked for reports to CEAMSE (Ecological Coordination of the Metropolitan Area of the State Society), an organization in which Chiqui continues to be  vice president.

"On one occasion he returned to Argentina from Cape Verde, an exotic paradise. Then look on the map, it is an exotic paradise that made headlines recently because Alex Saab was arrested there, accused of being the figurehead of Nicolás Maduro. Tapia stopped after being in Europe. Was it a technical stop, Chiqui ? "asked the PPT Box driver, who broadcasts every Sunday on Channel 13. He added that on trips he was accompanied by Pablo Toviggino, executive secretary of the AFA presidency, and by Yasmila Mendeguía, model and former participant of Big Brother. On other flights - Lanata said - Andrea Cianchetta, 26, who worked in Peru on a soccer program, also joined the procession.

According to Lanata, the president of the AFA rented planes to travel "several times" to Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay, as well as Spain and France. Most of the transfers, as Clarín was assured from the Viamonte headquarters, were due to events by Conmebol and FIFA.

Clarín accessed the list of trips in which the passenger list highlights, in addition to the women mentioned by Lanata, a series of AFA employees, Maria Paola Moyano - daughter of Hugo and wife of Chiqui-  and their children.

Tapia rose to power as Moyano's son-in-law: he went from CEAMSE employee to join his board. In this sense, Facundo Del Gaiso, legislator for the Civic Coalition and man of Elisa Carrió, made a request for reports with a copy of the minutes from 2015 to 2019. "Although it sounds incredible, Chiqui Tapia as president of AFA is also vice president of CEAMSE is a public employee and has to be held accountable for his work, "the deputy told Clarín .

Lanata reported that the flights were operated by Gustavo Carmona's Fyzar company, "who had been left in the eye of the storm in a judicial investigation for alleged laundering in a case against Daniel Scioli." And he ended with an irony: "Who covered the trips? The AFA? Not all the flights seem to be working, nor do all the companions seem to be going on an official mission."

WhileTapia did not speak about the complaint, this Monday he signed an act through the notary Marisa Galarza (registration 4532), which shows that on the reported date the leader did not enter Cape Verde, as it appears in the three Argentine passports presented (those in his possession, all valid).

At the AFA they do not want to talk about the issue and at Clarín's request , they denied the possibility of issuing a statement in response to the complaint. There was only one tweet from Toviggino, who posted a suggestive message at the time the PPT was broadcast:  "Never interrupt your enemy while he is making a mistake."

There are several in the AFA who think that behind this move is Daniel Angelici, former Boca president faced with Tapia. Last week, Lanata had targeted Marcelo Tinelli, top dog from San Lorenzo and the Professional Soccer League. Then, listeners in which he asked referees and schedule changes to Julio Grondona in 2013 came to light  .

The affair of the flights exploded just as Tapia had settled differences with Miguel Licht, a federal fan fan of Atlanta represented by Gregorio Dalbón, Cristina Fernández's lawyer. By the way, this Monday they dismissed Licht. However, the last times of the AFA were convulsed by the media darts that were generated since San Martín de Tucumán decided to go to the TAS. In addition, there is an open case in Court No. 54 for corruption presented by Guillermo Marconi, secretary of SADRA.
