In Hong Kong today (8th), 24 new cases of new pneumonia were diagnosed, 19 of which were local cases. Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Center for Health Protection, bluntly said yesterday (7th) that it was the third outbreak. A number of recent cases have been related to restaurants. Today, there are two more confirmed cases involving Bin Kee Congee and Noodles and three cases involving Xinfa Tea Restaurant. There are also confirmed persons who have eaten at multiple restaurants.

The 42-year-old woman living in Tsuen Wan Bayview Garden was diagnosed as the 1313th case. During the incubation period, the victim went to restaurants in Tsuen Wan, Hung Hom and Wan Chai.

Zhang Zhujun said that the newly diagnosed 42-year-old woman's apartment was located in Wan King Garden, Tsuen Wan, the 1313th case. She began to feel unwell on July 6th. During the incubation period of zd1, the female patient once sent her son to the Hangkou Sports Ground. On July 4, she went to the primary school affiliated to Diocesan Boys College where her son attended. At the same night, she stayed at the Renaissance Wanchai Hotel Dinner at the hotel restaurant.

The victim has also eaten at restaurants in many districts, including July 5 at Tsuen Wan Beef Shabu-shabu, and at July 6 at the Hung Hom Metropolis Hotel for lunch.

In response to the diagnosis of the parents of the students, Diocesan Boys College Middle School and the attached primary school zb2 will be suspended from today until further notice.

Bayview Garden has sent people to clean the residents without special worry

Tsuen Wan Bay Garden, where the female patient lives, was not cleaned by FEHD staff, but the lobby smelled of detergent, and notices were posted to inform residents that there were confirmed cases, but the number of seats is yet to be announced by the Protection Centre. The notice also stated that the housing estate contacted the CHP several times, hoping to confirm the number of patients and related details, but no reply was received. The estate has arranged cleaning staff to thoroughly clean and disinfect the lobby.

Some building security personnel have been constantly asked about the number of people who have been diagnosed, but the security personnel have only repeatedly responded to "I don't know." No government officials have come to clean them. Some residents also put on wind jackets and hats when they went out, and bluntly said that they had been dressed up since the outbreak to prevent them from getting in contact with the virus when riding the back of the bus seat. She also pointed out that there are always invisible patients in the community that cannot be prevented, but there is no special worry about the diagnosis of living near the neighborhood. She believes that the safety of the public is more important than the privacy of someone. The government should open the unit of the diagnosed person and let the residents prevent it.

As for the beef shabu-shabu in Tsuen Wan Plaza where the female patient had visited, the door was closed. There were no notices outside the door, and the light was still on. Many diners "touched the door" and looked at and discussed business hours outside the door, thinking that it was just "finalizing." Members of the public were informed by reporters that they had been diagnosed and had visited the store during the incubation period. They said they would reduce the amount of meals they eat out in the near future. A beef shabu-shaw shop clerk also explained to the diners through the transparent gate that "there was a person who had been diagnosed and did not open the door." The shop assistant also said that he did not know when to resume business.
