The Minister of Health of the Nation, Ginés González García , met this Tuesday with the Buenos Aires governor, Axel Kicillof , to "coordinate all efforts" in the fight against the coronavirus and, at the end of the meeting, was concerned about the jump of cases in areas with greater circulation and by the appearance of new foci.

"We work intensely on one thing that is not easy, which is to coordinate all the efforts made by the Nation, the Province and the municipalities over the entire territory. It is a time when we are working very hard in the territory and, of course , the province of Buenos Aires has a wide territory and Greater Buenos Aires is tremendously wide. And of course we are making synergy, "said González García.

The meeting came after a new warning from the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Daniel Gollán. "We must not be confused, if we liberate the AMBA a lot, Rosario, Córdoba explodes you, because 95 percent of the cases that appear in other parts of the country are because they went through AMBA," said the Buenos Aires official.

González García avoided ruling on it, but acknowledged that he is "concerned" about the advance of the Covid-19 and the appearance of new outbreaks. "Everything worries, Chaco, the City of Buenos Aires, obviously the Conurbano and the places where lights appear. This obviously has a dynamic that is much more permanent than we would have supposed, " said the Minister of Health of the Nation.

Often, he clarified that he did not discuss with Kicillof what will happen to the quarantine from next July 17, when the stage of greater restrictions that was established to try to contain the rhythm of infections will expire.

He said that will be evaluated "when we are close" to that date and "when the numbers are." "It also depends a lot on how we are doing. In that sense, as always, we are going to decide according to the information," he clarified.

González García reiterated that the situation in the AMBA is different from that of other areas of the country because, he described, that region is "a megalopolis, it is one of the great cities of the world and naturally in a virus that has this contagion capacity it generates massiveness of cases, which is what we don't want. "

"Until now we have been achieving it, the system gives a perfect response, there is no one left without medical attention, which is what we wanted from the first day, that everyone be properly treated and that the impact, which there is always, is not so hard as in other countries, "he stressed.

Regarding the work with the Buenos Aires government, he reiterated that "coordination will be intensified, it is essential", although he recalled that "contact is maintained" by videoconference and by phone "every day."
