The epidemic of the new type of pneumonia continues. In addition to putting pressure on environmental hygiene, the workload of frontline cleaning and security staff has also greatly increased, and it has to bear higher health risks. The government has launched the "Epidemic Prevention and Anti-epidemic Fund" under the "Property Management Industry Anti-epidemic Support Program" ("Property Management Support Plan"), affirming the contributions of frontline property management staff and financial support during the outbreak. On May 30, 2020, the Government launched the "Optimization Plan for the Anti-epidemic Support of the Property Management Industry" ("Optimization Plan"), which extended the relevant funding to August to provide further support to employees in related industries.

The "Optimization Plan" provides two subsidies. The first part is the "anti-epidemic hard work allowance", where front-line property management employees (such as cleaning and security) who are employed by qualified property management companies or owner organizations from February to August 2020 and engage in security and environmental sanitation-related work Employees), each can be granted a monthly anti-epidemic hardship allowance of HK$1,000 per month of service, with a maximum of 100 places per eligible property. The property management company or the owner organization can renew the allowance from June to August for the frontline property management employees who have benefited from the first round of the "material management support plan". If the property management company or the owner organization fails to claim all or part of the allowance for some frontline property management employees from February to May in the first or second stage due to the limitation of the plan funding quota, it can be implemented in the "Optimization Plan" During the period, the subsidy for the month of employment is replaced.

The other part of the "Optimization Plan" is the "Anti-epidemic Cleaning Subsidy", which is used to strengthen building cleaning services. Private residential buildings and multi-purpose buildings (commercial and residential use) that have received HK$2,000 “Anti-epidemic Cleaning Subsidy” in the first round of the “Property Management Support Plan” will receive an additional HK$2,000 “Anti-epidemic” under the “Optimization Plan” "Cleaning Subsidy" (a total of HK$4,000).
