The British newspaper Financial Times shows on its cover this Friday the vice president Cristina Kirchner for the crime of her former secretary Fabián Gutiérrez and points out:  "Murder of star witness provokes fury in Argentina."

The article, titled "The violent murder of Cristina Fernández's former aide moves Argentina" and which bears a photo of Gutiérrez, maintains that "the opposition demands responses after the death of a key witness in a high-profile corruption investigation ."

The morning newspaper published in London describes the former president as "powerful" and emphasizes that "the prosecutor in the investigation carried out in her family's political stronghold in the province of Santa Cruz is also her niece" .

The letter also tells that there are four arrested for the "horrible murder". And he argues that, although "the local judge said that the robbery or extortion were the most probable motives and one of the arrested men has admitted an incipient sexual relationship with the victim,  " "many believe that the truth surrounding death can be elusive. "

On the other hand, the Financial Times says that the news "caused an uproar among the Argentines" and draws a parallel with the death of Alberto Nisman, which he describes as "mysterious".

Likewise, the British newspaper mentions the communiqué released by the opposition where it was spoken of "a crime of extreme institutional gravity" . In this regard, he names President Alberto Fernández for "quickly rejecting" the Together for Change document. And he analyzes about the Argentine president: " His popularity has sunk as a strict coronavirus blockade has plunged the economy into a deeper recession ."

Regarding the victim, the text indicates that "he was caught in one of the largest corruption cases in Argentine history", in relation to the cause known as Los cuadernos de las coimas, and recalls that Gutiérrez "made a guilty and gave evidence against Cristina . "

"The question now is whether the murder could deepen Argentina's broader political battle, which comes amid attempts to stabilize the struggling economy," the text closes.

Days ago, the news reverberated in the well-known British newspaper The Times, where it was remarked that the event "fueled speculation" regarding his role as "repentant".

Fabián Gutiérrez was found dead last Saturday on the premises of one of the houses that were raided in his search in El Calafate, Santa Cruz province.

He was a repentant witness in the cause of the notebooks of the bribes, a mega-investigation for corruption during Kirchnerism. In his statements before the Justice, he linked Cristina Kirchner with the bribery collection scheme.

The autopsy revealed that he died of "mechanical suffocation" and that he had received blows to the head and body and three stitches to the neck area.
